Politicians are known to be hypocrites, but this one is a beauty. Ted Kennedy said to the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, "I'm going to be working together with my new best friend." Who could that be? His Mexican bus-boy? Cindy Sheehan? No, no, no. I know ... George Bush!

That's right. Now that Teddy wants to make friends with the Mexicans, he has decided that George W. Bush will be his new wing-man. You know – two guys walk into a bar, think they're hot stuff, and then work as a team to woo the ladies. Usually there is an uglier one that has a great personality, but isn't so good looking. (He never ends up with the girl.) But anyway ... that is what these jokesters look like. And these "new best friends" have assembled for one reason and one reason only (well, besides the chicks): amnesty. To make criminals legal citizens. Why? Votes. Politics. Money. Legacy. And where are you in this equation? Nowhere. They don't care about you, the constituents, when it comes to this amnesty bill. They should! But they don't have to. That's how far our government has gotten out of our hands. That is how much control we have lost.

And why does Teddy want to legalize these criminals? Because you can't just kick out 12.5 million people who are "working hard at jobs." Wrong. First of all, not all 12.5 million of those criminals are working jobs. They are here because their familias are here. They are here because their cousin's sister's boyfriend's aunt has a stepson in this country, and now they can sit around and collect food stamps. Oh and forget about paying taxes. Some might be "working hard," but how much taxes are they paying? How can they pay taxes without a Social Security number. They can't. So there you go.

I guess Iraq is really going to test their friendship! Or maybe they've agreed not to talk about the issue. Must be nice. We'll see how long that lasts.
