If your car show enthusiast, Autorama, the biggest and dare I say cheesiest car show in Houston starts Friday. Here's the link: http://www.autorama.com/casi/houston.htm
I'm pleasantly surprised to see that it will be downtown at the GRB this year. I plan on taking the boys to get out of the house on Friday, it should be a good time. Bumblebee from the transformer movie will be there and there's always a bunch of t-shirts and toys to load up on.
We went several years and met Ed Roth who passed away shortly thereafter. If you know who that is, you win a prize! I'll give you a hint...

Ed Roth sounds familiar but I won't google it and cheat. :p
I love going to auto shows, too, especially classic/muscle car shows. I heard about Bumble Bee being there on t.v. or radio I think. I wonder if it's just going to be a yellow camaro that looks like the one in the movie or if it will actually 'transform' into Bumble Bee. Now THAT would be sweet....I doubt that would be the case, though.

I don't think that old rusty Camaro is capable of transforming itself into anything. Our kids have not even seen the movie yet but I'm sure we will have a good time.
Ed Roth together with Von Dutch where the innovators of classic pin strips and "counter culture" art work in the 50's and 60's. Ed was an artist, sculpture and car designer who did everything from kids toys to commercial artwork. I don't think he ever made a lot of money doing it, but it allowed him to do what he wanted without getting a real job.
