Cute movie and very well done! It was funny and had a great message and the ending wasn't as cheesy as I thought it would be. We saw it at Market Street this afternoon and when it was over, we went out the side door that empties straight into the parking garage. My youngest was the first one out the door and was surprised by the afternoon rain - when he opened the door, he exclaimed, "The flood was *here*!" :p

Great timing, huh? LOL!
I've been wanting to see this movie with the kids. Husband is afraid it won't be kid appropriate because it is somewhat of a follow up to Bruce Almighty, but everything I've read says it is a great family film.

Yes... I was a little concerned about that, but thankfully there were no sexual overtones or innuendos. The closest they came to anything offensive was shown over and over again in commercials... when he's driving to work and the animals appear in the car he screams out "SHHHHHHHHHHHHHeep!"

Great to hear it is good for the kids. I plan on taking them this week.

We took the kids this weekend. I liked the movie and was glad there was actually a message to it. The kids loved all of the animal humor too.

We LOVED this movie. I especially loved Evan's assistant. She was hilarious. What a great movie for families. It just goes to show that you don't have to have sexual innuendos and cussing to make a show funny.

The assistant was also in Monster In Law... very similar roles, but she was funny, nonetheless.

I really liked this line: "When someone prays for courage, do you think God gives them courage, or does he give them a moment to be couragious? When someone prays for the family to be closer, does he sprinkle around happiness, or does he give them an opportunity to be closer?"
And then all the funny stuff as well... when Even is telling his family about building a "boat"... he slips in that "Be great in case it floods or something" under his breath :)

I liked that lesson, too, Wilson! It's a great reminder for "praying adults" when things don't work out as we expect.
For the kids: Their favorite line seems to be: "I'm wet, I'm cold, I'm going home.
LADIES FIRST!"
LOL!

The ending was hilarious. (After the credits started rolling.) Watching the crew and cast dance and be silly.
I was always told not to pray for patience because God would give you something to have to patient over. There were several good messages in that movie.

When I was pregnant with Little Bit, DH and I were praying that I would be able to quit at Christmas rather than wait until Spring Break. It did work out that way, but not what we wanted with her being born 12 weeks early. DH's boss asked if we had anything else (that big) we were praying about to warn him first.

Husband has lost several jobs during the course of our marriage. All, with the exception of one, we could see what one might call a "divine purpose."
And the one where we couldn't see it, and we were really starting to stress big time, he got the job back within a few weeks.
We don't always have such relevations, and there is plenty that just doesn't make sense. But, those "hard times" where we can look back and see the purpose in it all really helps us through the things that don't make sense.
I suppose all that doesn't make much sense. LOL!

Nope. Know exactly what your talking about. But who says faith is supposed to make sense?

Yep! Or life, for that matter. ;)
