View Full Version : Crazy Lady is out again...

Friday I noticed my neighbor's dog was in the front yard. They are out of town, but I managed to get the dog back in their house and went through their garage for some wood and placed them along the fence in their backyard and held them in place with some of their rocks from their landscaping.

The dog had been accidentally left in the backyard by the pet sitter and escaped into Crazy Lady's yard and then came out front from under Crazy Lady's gate. I didn't touch anything in Crazy Lady's yard and I didn't go into Crazy Lady's yard. But I knew that my fixing the fence in my neighbor's yard was going to be a big problem for Crazy Lady.

Sure enough, within an hour, a Sheriff's car pulled up and Crazy Lady was demanding a police report. Sigh.

Wow. That IS crazy. You would think she would be grateful you made it to where the dog couldn't get back into her yard.

What did the cops have to say?

I really have no idea... I talked to him first (which infuriated Crazy Lady) and he kept saying "this is a civil matter" duh and then he went into their house and was there for about an hour. Crazy Lady was screaming at the cop for talking to me and saying she was going to call 911 and he told her that she needed to go back into her house, he'd talk to her when he was ready, and if she called 911 he'd personally arrest her. I told him everything that I did and then waited in my house with a camera. If he came out with her in handcuffs, I wanted a picture. Sadly, that didn't happen. Yet.

Last week, Crazy Lady stole the neighbor's boards that I put up to keep the neighbor's dogs out of her yard (neighbors had been back in town and saw what I did and it looked fine, so they left it). This evening, I was out on neighbor's driveway talking with them, Crazy Lady comes out and starts raking her yard and yelling at neighbors to keep their pine needles out of her yard. All Hell broke loose. It was quite amusing . The police haven't shown up, yet, though.

:DSounds like the police stay on your street a lot. Sort of a high crime area.:D

yelling at neighbors to keep their pine needles out of her yard.

LOL, like they sprinkle them all over her yard. Gawd, don't people have enough to worry about? She is cuckoo nuts (guess that is why you call her Crazy Lady). Someone needs to sprinkle Prozac dust on her front door.

You'd think this was the third ward! LOL! And we moved from Houston, where our crime rate was reported to be MUCH higher than it is here. We had a pretty strange family living next door, but they kept to themselves and were still friendly, but aside from speeders on our street (the reason we wanted to move) there weren't problems that couldn't be solved reasonably, like this headache.

Neighbor was like, "so what, you have DNA of the pine needles to determine who's tree they've fallen from?" The thing is, Crazy Lady's yard is ONLY pines. And like 100 of them. They rake all the pine needles up into the very large bed. Like some don't spill over into her grass?

The thing is, she's yelling at them about this, when SHE STOLE THE FENCE BOARDS that I put down the week before. They were in the neighbor's backyard! Not her yard! She somehow wiggled them under the fence (neighbor's gate is now screwed shut because of Crazy Lady going back there to "rearrange" things) and took the boards! She's got balls, I'll give her that.

Oh, Wison. I feel so sorry for you and your family. However, the Crazy Lady would make a great book that you could make quite a profit off of.:D
What a lonely, miserable old bat she must be.

Welcome to TalkofTheWoodlands.com, Gladys!

Interestingly enough, I've been having some work done to the house since Wednesday of last week and haven't had any trouble from across the street. She's taking all her angst out on her next door neighbors currently... she was out today and I was certain she was going to come over and yell at me, but she didn't! And she didn't even call the police on my cub scout meeting yesterday! YAY!

I'm really bummed I missed the opportunity to meet her the other day.

(It's actually a real shame someone is nasty like that.)

Did she call the police, have a screaming fit (that would have been awful in front of a bunch of young boys), ...
I wonder if you can call the mental health authorities like you can call animal control about a rabid dog?

Not today... she came out to start sh!t and I just went into the house instead of engaging her nonsense, today.

It's interesting you mentioned animal control, though... pm'ing you.

Crazy Lady (I don't remember her name) was ranting at the 4/11 evening meeting at The Woodlands Assoc building. The board members looked at her like she was nuts and told her to stop reading Talk of The Woodlands. I think the board and attendees felt sorry for you and your neighbors having to deal with her. By her reading the comments, it was fairly easy to find this thread in General Discussion. I am just a curious onlooker and thankfuk she does not live by me.

Ahhh.. thanks for the explanation. We declined to go to that meeting because I refuse to be in the same room with her and have to listen to her voice her, um, displeasure towards me. The police have recommended mediation, but it's the same reason I don't move forward with that.

That's funny that she brought up TOTW :D. The Board has been very kind to us and did express, um, condolences, for the most part. I'm just glad to not live next door to her - you wouldn't believe what *they* put up with!

Wilson, didn't you say that Crazy Lady thought I was over at your house one day (the day of the scout meeting she flipped out about)? Something about meeting me or wanting to, or WHATEVER?

I so wanted her to be outside when I was at your house the other day. I would love to meet her. She can see that I don't have horns and a tail. (I hide them well to crazy people.) LOL When can I come sit in your driveway and we can drink wine? :D

IMO, the best way to deal with people like that is to stay away. If you have to have contact with someone like that, kill 'em with kindness. Crazy people don't know how to handle that. Then, they start to become paranoid because you are being nice to them. :rolleyes1:

Yes - she was yelling at me while I'm standing on my driveway with 2 other cub scout parents and then started accusing the woman that I'm visiting with of being "FamilyGal". Poor "L" was so confused and didn't know what the heck CL was yelling about.

She snapped at my husband the other day at the mailbox for not saying "hello" to her. One of the most patient men on the planet is losing his patience with her... he's ready to park our Suburban in the "forbidden zone" and just leave it.

Somehow I doubt that is the reason she wants to meet me, but thank you.

You're right though, Wilson. I don't know her and have referred to her as crazy lady, which I, personally, shouldn't do since I have not had experience with her.

I just hope one day a light bulb goes off that she will realize that you catch more bees with honey.

Your article about disclosing the neighbor's behavior for the sale of a home is sad but funny. It sound like she hates all the neighbors but does she yell at people driving by, (too fast, too slow, unrecognized car, too loud, ... the list could go on forever) Maybe that's her next act. Covenant people can't do anything about a dog getting into CL's back yard. Keeping her gate closed would probably work. I would have loved to have heard the conversation between CL and the Covenant person.

Psst... can we keep this private for the next few weeks? I'd be happy to keep anyone that wants to know, in the know... but for very specific reasons, I'm going to have to either start another website about the whole thing ;) or just use PM's. Just let me know if you want to hear the latest. And I could always use some advice about the situation. It's gotten quite ugly.

Hmmmppphhh. First thing I was taught. You fire the weapon, you have to clean it. Annoying. Never had any desire to "play" with the guns - I didn't want to have to clean them! Dad did make sure I knew how to use them, though.
