So I'm out back getting used to a new camera and Kazoo is crunching away on something under the bushes.

I'm figuring that's one mighty crunchy lizard.

Nope.

A pine cone.

Cat chows down on pine cones, there was a pile of half eaten cones I cleaned out from under the ginger bush.

Go figure.

LOL! Nora likes to chew on the sweetgumballs that fall in the garden. Kazoo is older though, and should have figured out the negative sensation by now!

So what camera did you get?!??!

An Olympus SP-550-UZ.

The Kodak Z-612 compressed all the information out of the pictures. I wasn't happy with it.

I love this one! 18x zoom and RAW/SHQ/HQ and several other options for saving the pictures. I can get to 1 mm for macros. Still working on how far the zoom gives clear shots.

It'll be a week before I can consistently take pictures that are clear. But I love it so far.

I'm way impressed. I went out bike riding and taking pictures this morning.

Fred and ladders crack me up... does he start stalking you when he sees you bringing it out?

I'll try shortening the post length.

Yes. Fred loves to climb things, ladders, cabinets, you name it. I have to toss him out to water plants on the plant shelf or spend a half hour coaxing him down.

We call that spot on the kitchen cabinets "Pride Rock". Sophie likes to hide up there and she hangs out sometimes in the 2nd story windows of the living room. No ladders for her, though!

I think its cool she gets to those second story windows. Fred hasn't found a way to get to ours with out a ladder. Just as well its a big leap I'd probably have a splattered cat if he tried.

I do worry about that splattered cat possibility. Not much I can do to stop her until dh gets around to enclosing the half-wall of the 2nd floor gameroom. I've wanted to do that because of the noise, but to save the cat would be bonus :).
