So today was DH's birthday. They normally make a big deal of it at work, and I was expecting a last minute call to go up there for cake (this has happened before). No call. They didn't remember, and he got sent out of town at the last minute on a job. He's grumpy because of other problems going on there, I am getting to the point where I want him to look elsewhere. (Not because of the birthday).
And the cherry on the ice cream was a call from DD's pediatrician and she would like me to take her to TX Children's to be evaluated because she still isn't gaining weight like she should.:(
And I still have things in the car that I need to unload, but I don't feel like it. My excuse is that DD's room is right next to the garage, and I don't want to wake her.

I'm sorry you had such a crappy day :( I guess things can only go up from there! DH was in a position a year or so ago that was just horrible for many reasons. He stuck in there and things eventually got better. His boss got fired and DH took his place. Hang in there!

How scary about DD. Any idea what is going on with her?

Thanks for the support Triple. I sent him a text this morning but still haven't heard back. Worried they worked all night and are crashed this morning.
DD was a preemie, and weighed about a pound and half when born. Her growth rate parallels the curve, but she hasn't caught up to it yet. Her height and head circumference are just kissing the curves, but her weight is very low. Doc wants us to verify that there isn't an underlying medical issue. I think she is fine, her development (while slow) is coming along.
I've decided today to keep a record of everything she eats. She's my only kiddo, so I have no experimental reference, but I've done quite a bit of reading on the subject and think her eating habits are pretty normal, but we'll see.
The phrase "failure to thrive" was mentioned yesterday, which sent me into mommy freak out mode. Doctor has reassured me that she doesn't consider her as FTT (the phrase was used by someone else), so I'm feeling better about the whole thing this morning.

That whole measure every child and compare percentile thing is awful. It started in the mid 90s I missed it.
It sounds like nothing to worry about just an extra trip to the doctors for you.
