Oh my goodness I really should have bought this last month when the kiddo slipped the ad into my wallet. He starts spreading these little hints at halloween.:D

This thing was $59.99, now I can't find it anywhere for under $200.00! And it is sold out most places!

Scratch that one until AFTER the holidays. :mad:

Not to put a damper on this conversation, but anyone see Grey's Anatomy where the kids swallowed the magnets from his set to get his parent's attention (they were constantly fighting)? He almost didn't make it. There have been several babies die from swallowing magnets and they pierce the organs. (The magnet takes the path of least resistance to the other magnet.) OUCH.

Bonkers, I realize your son is too old to worry about that, but I bawled during the last few Grey's Anatomy. (Especially the ones with the Paramedics dying.)

I fell asleep watching the re-run of Ugly Betty the other day :( Yes....that is like 7PM. I'm just too exhausted lately!

I didn't realize they were like thatt, OUCH is right! EEEK! I suppose my biggest worry is this freaky kitten knocking everything over. I didn't even think about that! He has already killed anything Christmas looking, wreaths, ornaments, etc. Wonder if I should worry about him swallowing them, surely they are too big for him to do that....

Anyhoo, fantastic news! A friend found one in Dallas at a Target for REGULAR price!

That makes TWO items that the internet has drummed up such a panic over, that they are selling for triple the price and yet, I have now found both for regular prices.:rolleyes:

Don't believe everything you read! Amazon will tell you Target doesn't have it, because Amazon is selling the iCoaster for $189.99 right now. Target has it for $59.99....maybe not around here though!

I'd not thought about that before. I should have realized, though, because I was looking for a red Senseo coffee maker for my mom - the only one left at Target had a crushed box, so I came home and looked it up on Amazon and they had *none*, even though they link to Target? So then I went to Target.com (outside Amazon) to look at something else and found the red Senseo! Maybe their inventories aren't synched up? I dunno...

But YAY on you finding the Magnetix!! Congrats :)

Exactly! Also, target shows out of stock for the iCoaster, I put any store in dallas and in houston...so don't believe their site either! Guess it is just hit and miss on whether the strores actually have them.

OH WOW! OK, I have loved Amazon for years, but this is ridiculous! Hopefully it is just the holiday greed oozing into amazon execs and they will steer straighter come the new year. :rolleyes: Yeah right...poo! Now I just don't trust them at all! I probably never should have in the first place though come to think of it.

It might be more of a problem regarding the Marketplace sellers, but I do think that Amazon should be more aware of the situation. I'm at fault as well - usually buying everything on Amazon because it's 1-stop shopping, mostly free shipping, and delivered right to my door. I'm disappointed to have to do more comparison shopping in light of all this, but what else can you do?
