We tried this last night - it had quite a crowd for such a new place, but we would have waited twice as long at AB on a Friday night! I saw a lot of families that we see from the AB location, so maybe a lot of them were checking it out as well? It is on Research Forest and took over the Buffalo's Southwest Cafe location, in the same center at The Egg & I. Sorbetto's was next door, but it's also closed now (never tried it). Casa Rico's is just a duplication of the AB Rico's. I like the interior better than AB, but they have new menus printed and the same freaking "mistake" on the El Relleno and whatever that other dish is. I pointed it out to this manager as well, but at least he tried a little harder to explain . Anyway, the food/menu and even some of the staff are from AB. I was kind of hoping to see something a little different on the menu, but I certainly understand the concept of having something that is doing well and sticking with it. We won't make the drive over there when we have Rico's back here, but it's good to see them doing so well as to open yet another location (it's #7... I think?) here in The Woodlands.

Oh! And there was a catering van parked at the side of the building that lists this URL: www.ricoshacienda.com (http://www.ricoshacienda.com), but that URL is not working... and what's weird is it's registered to somebody Alliance Manufacturing and Gary/Martha Miller in Mirror Ridge...

We were trying to go to that Buffalo's Southwest just a couple of weeks ago! Driving around; decided to look up a new place on the GPS and after choosing that one we drove up to a building under remodeling and no more restaurant!
