Received this from a friend who lives in Rush Haven -

I'm contacting everyone I know to try and find the owner of a little Jack Russell Terrier I found yesterday. If I can't locate the owner then I need to find him a home. Apparently the breed doesn't do well with other pets or I would gladly adopt him myself. He is neutered, approximately 4-5 years old and weighs 10 lbs. I have boarded him at the veterinary clinic in Alden Bridge where he is getting a complete health check. I have contacted mypetretriever, the aspca and every agency that will take my information. Please spread the word.

If you know someone who is missing such a pet, please let me know.

I'm guessing someone would be looking for this little guy. Jack Russells are super cute, but man, they can wear a person out! LOL! Our neighbor's JRT got out of their yard one night, and we kept him in the house just long enough to call them to let them know. After five to 10 minutes, I was exhausted!

Best of luck to your friend in finding the owners. I'm sure they want their little guy home. It just takes a certain kind of person to have a Jack Russell, I'm convinced of that! I'm guessing any other type of dog would be "boring" to such a person! LOL!

I'm sure the vet checked already, but ask them if they did a micro chip scan. High energy dogs have a tendency to be "released" by their Owners when they get to be too much to handle. Our 5 year old German Shepherd was a stray found wandering down the road with her brother. We always wondered who would be missing two pure bred dogs and not bother looking for them. I think that in the end they where left overs from a litter that had become to cumbersome to care for.
