I can't see it but maybe the leg can be save? even if that is not the case, dogs handle that type of situation better than humans. Do you remember Austin from Houston Beagle Rescue?

I went to the link, but didn't see what you were talking about. I have seen several dogs with only three legs that did very well. Most people wouldn't want a dog like that, so kudos to your wife wanting to love it. Give her what she wants. :)
