It looks like fun - has anyone seen it?

We are going to go see Evan Almighty later on this afternoon. Let us know how Ratatouille was. (I bet it will be busy today with the rain.)

Evan Almighty was too cute!! The kids and I all enjoyed it.

"Thou shalt do the dance!" LOL! I know it wasn't meant to be philosophical, but you could get some meaning out of that line.

We had a lot of fun, and I'm imagining a movie theme park like MGM or Universal basing a ride exhibit on that ark ride! LOL!

Definitely let us know about Ratatouille! The kids are eager to see that and then Transformers (it comes out tomorrow).

We saw Evan Almighty a little over a week ago. It was a cute family movie.

We loved Evan Almighty, too!

Ratatouille was wicked funny and just great to see. Pretty far-fetched, of course, and some of the scenes with the rats really icked me out. But it was very original, had a neat storyline, the animation was incredible, and it made me very hungry lol. We had to stop off at the grocers on the way home lol. Six thumbs up from Crunchy & the crunchy kids. We went with friends and they loved it too...

I'll bring CHEESE for the kids to snack on, LOL! We may go see this one tomorrow.

Great idea! My 5yo kept whining that he was hungry and I couldn't let on that I was too! I made Chicken Parmigiana for dinner, picked up a gazillion nice cheeses at the store, and we had fresh Italian-style bread and a good Pinot Noir.... it would have been a lot cheaper to just provide movie snacks lol.

I am a firm believer in bringing my own snacks for the movies! I know it's not ok to do so, but movies cost so much, it's the only way I can justify it! I take them to plenty of movies because they behave there and they love them. They've grown accustomed to having home popped popcorn, juice and maybe a piece of candy or fruit snacks when we go.

I had a crazy busy day helping get ready for VBS crafts at my church. Around 4 pm, on my way home, FIL called and said "you pick the place, dinner is on me tonight!" Can't beat that offer, so we ate out. Our dinner was good, but yours still sounds better.

Have you ever tried Cabot cheese? DH lived in Vermont for a few years, so it's his favorite sharp cheddar. They sell a good variety at HEB for sure, I'm not sure about Kroger's. DH likes the sharpest he can find. I can only handle a few slices of that before it upsets my stomach! We tried a great cheese at HEB Woodlands Market this weekend, but I forgot already what it was! I'm no cheese expert, but I do like it!

That's too funny... the Cabot white cheddar was one of the cheeses I bought yesterday. I bought one of everything I've always wanted to try.

AAA: Someone once told me that the manager (or maybe a worker) at Tinseltown told them that they don't mind people bringing in their own snacks. I don't know if that person got accurate info or not, but they don't exactly have someone at the door checking purses.

I know they don't check purses! They'd better not, lol! I bring my big purse and stow away snacks. Especially for the dollar kids movie during the summer. I bought passes, so they were only $0.50 per movie. I'm not spending $20+ on snacks every time I go - but lots of people do! It just negates the cheap movie deal to me. My kids don't really know any different.

I have been to some venues that do check purses. Before the Compaq Center became Lakewood, I attended a women's conference there and they did check purses. You could not slip a bottle of water into the Compaq Center! Of course, their bottled water was insanely expensive. And, the water in the water fountains was downright hot!

Different people have so many different dietary needs, I have a hard time understanding how any place can tell people they can't bring snacks. Yet, (movies excluded) lots of places are rather strict about that.

I need a bigger purse. I did think about doing this yesterday... all we wanted was some bottled water (gasp!) and there's no way I can even get one bottled water in my purse. I ended up buying 3 bottled waters at the theater and it cost me $15!

Security, and profit, is somewhat of a ripoff.

I know wilson! I have my day to day purse and then I have a few larger purses that I use as my movie purses, lol!

I have had my purse checked before at venues like Minute Maid Park, etc. I expect it there and wouldn't try to smuggle in contraband food! I just know I can get away with it at the movies!

We saw Ratatouille this morning and it was great! We definitely enjoyed it and it was longer than I expected. We will definitely be getting this one on DVD when it comes out.
