Anyone know a very quick, one-step application that will transfer my Photobucket Album to my Flickr account? Flickr did this for me with my Yahoo Photos, because Yahoo is shutting down their photo-hosting service. I realise that Photobucket isn't going anywhere, but is there an easy way to do this, other than right-clicking and saving all 300+ photos and then re-uploading them to Flickr?

I don't know a quick way to transfer them from Photobucket to Flickr, but have you used the Flickr uploader program to upload lots of pictures to Flickr at one time?
Of course this would only work if you have the pictures on your hard drive and if that were the case, I guess you wouldn't need to be transferring them, huh? LOL
I store my photos on Picasa's Web Albums. I can then send them to people to view and they can actually download the entire album at one time.

I love the Flickr uploader feature! Yeah, the pictures on my Photobucket site are from up to a couple of computers ago and not on this hard drive. I think I'm going to have to just right-click them. I've been intending to get a Picassa account; it sounds like it's got a lot of neat features. Let me know if they'll do the Photobucket transfer :).

I love using Picasa to edit my pictures, then upload them to a web album. It is also a great organizing program for every image on my computer. You can also send your pictures straight to your blog (Blogger.com). AND, print from Picasa to Walgreens and a few other photo places.

Wilson,
I never did get Flickr figured out. I want to upload lots of pics at one time. Can't get the frigger figured out though! AND, dd couldn't either. And, she knows what she is doing, too!

Did you download the Flickr Uploaded program? That is the only way to upload a lot at one time and it is very easy to use. If you don't download it and go the traditional way to upload to Flickr, you can do about 10 at a time.
On the Flickr uploader program you click on the "+" sign to add files to upload, then click on upload.

My Flickr Uploader added an "Upload to Flickr" option when I right-click on a picture. I'll right-click, select "upload to Flickr", then the box will open and I can drag & drop pics into the Flickr box. I can even shift-click a bunch of them and send them.
Natv - the Flickr Uploader for Win XP is the *last* option - scroll all the way down. When I installed it, it didn't look like it had done anything. It may have even taken a reboot to get it to show up in that right-click window. http://www.flickr.com/tools/

I haven't downloaded it on my laptop yet and the laptop has Vista. I wonder what differences there will be with Vista.

I don't know of any changes, they just have different scripts for the various OS.

Yep , I'm pretty sure I did all that...twice! I'm gonna give it another go and see what happens.

Ya'll are making me so jealous. I am definitely mentally challenged when it comes to managing photos. I take them and I upload them to my hard drive...and I've learned to crop and rotate and adjust contrast...and that's about it. I so want to learn a lot more about photography and Flicker seems like a good thing to be part of but I'm so intimidated by it I don't have a clue what all to do.
FG, I looked at that post you did about TW Photography group but that looked like wayyyyyyyy too much organization for me. I don't like to go all over the place to meet or do field trips - too time consuming. But I surely would like to just learn more about my camera and stuff. I have this feeling I may have just enough creativity left in me to be pretty good at photography...if I would just commit to putting in the time to learn.
