Have always been early riser..feel best when I get lots done before 9AM! So also always chasing the "dream breakfast".

Lately, have been stopping at Panera Bread (outside Mall). For someone who generally not "restaurant person" I Love this place. Coffee in real Mug, great tasting Hazelnut and All You Can Drink for about $1.75. Free WiFi, good muffins, bagels, other breakfast food, newspaper to read. For me, that is about as good as it gets! :D

Panera's atmosphere has more comfortable "feel" and the House coffee better tasting (and free refills) than the Stars.

Also really like the coffee and breakfast at Mario's (Rayford) but they serve it only Sat/Sun.

How do you feel about Panera's; where outside home do you find the "Dream Breakfast"?

I'm a breakfast fiend as well! Nothing like a good stuffing to start the day!!

My personal favorites:

Brooklyn Bagel in Panther Creek or on 242 makes a great poppyseed bagel and I get it with either bacon, egg and cheese OR salmon and cream cheese. Nothing like fish for breakfast. You are welcome to "borrow" a newspaper, the coffee is not as strong as I would prefer but it's halfway decent. I think they have wifi and they don't have a problem with you taking up real estate for an extended period of time.

Cracker Barrel anywhere has a great breakfast. Out of all of the chains, they do a good job. Mama's Pancake Breakfast... nuff said!

Egg and I is our local favorite for breakfast. But you have to get there early on weekends or you will wait forever. I like the different versions of the eggs benedict, one uses crab cakes! Great coffee, great food and friendly staff.

I am not happy with the kolache and donut choices in TW presently. Sundale and Shipleys are just not that good. I love Dannai's down on the East side on Federal Road (this is the hood... it better be good...). I wish someone good open a traditional European bakery but I'm asking a lot!

Yes, I have been wanting this for years, TW has not really ever had GOOD Bakery that I know of. Maybe it is the high dollar real estae and rents? Only "chains/franch" can afford.

I love Cracker Barrell, I just wish there was one closer.

Willie's used to have a Sat breakfast. I never went but one of my kids did and said it was pretty good (but he'd eat anything just about), I don't know if they still have it.

We used to get Koloches at the Koloche place up by Bank of America but lately they haven't been too good.

"Also really like the coffee and breakfast at Mario's (Rayford) but they serve it only Sat/Sun"

They aren't open the rest of the week for breakfast, but you can order it anytime. At least we can, since we are frequent diners. We don't even have to tell them what we want..."with" or "without" is how we order. (with or without chorizzo on the chilequilas ((I know I butchered that spelling)).

Dd worked there all through college during the summers and holidays. Their breakfast did really well, but they stopped it last year sometime.

Mario's was swamped for breakfast yesterday. Every table was full and there was a line out the door. Poor Mario was flustered and really had everyone running. They were understaffed because he didn't expect a rush like that until lunch time, and had people arriving at 11. First time I have ever had bad service there, but it won't deter me from going again. What will stop for a bit is Little Bit. She has been a terror in public lately, and I swore yesterday morning that I wouldn't try to take her to a restaurant again until she's bigger.

I with TxRose nothing beats the cracker barrel.

But Nav is correct on the weekends Marios is good.

Also The Egg and I on Research Forest. But expect a wait on Sunday. They are only open for breakfest.

I love Cracker Barrel for breakfast, but tend to overeat there. I'm always ready to go back to bed after stuffing myself on the bisquits and gravy, hashbrown casserole, etc.....

Egg and I is very good!!!

I have one like that, and we stopped taking her to restaurants and grocery stores for about three years!

Same here...my 18 month old (19 now??? I've lost track) has been a little meanie in public. I left Wing Stop covered in cheese sauce the other day after he decided he'd begin hurling things from the table at me to get us to leave. I had managed to swipe most things from him between rushed bites but he beat me to the nastiest thing on the table! :o We had a time shopping that day, too. I was defeated the next day and let my SO go out and get the remaining things we needed while I stayed home with my T-Rex. <sigh>

I think you ought to take him to Donnelly's Pizza. LOL!
