Anyone going to see it tonight or tomorrow? My daughter is BEGGING me to take her, but I am not going to go until the crowds lessen a little. And, I think a new book is coming out next week as well.

Last night around 9:30 the wife and I went up to CVS for some good drugs(ice cream) and we saw a group of teenagers buying candy and cokes. They said they had two friends holding their spot in line at the theather. THey had been in line since 8 pm to get the good seats.

I have heard this movie was scary compared to the others. Something about under 10 shouldnt see it. Now this goes back to our view on movies last week. I think it changes with the parents and kids.

Not me :(. I stopped reading the books at some point and I think I'm at least 2 books behind now. I keep intending to start them over and read with the kids finally - they're almost old enough for it. It'll be quite a while before we catch up, though!

I went and saw the midnight show last night. The movie was fantastic!! I didn't really see too many issues where a person with a younger person would have a problem. the movie is darker but i actually thought that it was one of the funnier Harry Potter movies.

Saw it today. It was wonderful from start to finish.

There were many whimsical touches that I loved. The plates in Umbridge's office were classic. :0)

If you didn't read the book, some parts might be a tad confusing.

Not for 10 or younger. There are some scenes that I think would terrify
them.

What is the rating on this one?

My kids 12 and 14 saw it today with friends and none of them really liked it. I had read it was very scary but none of them thought so at all. They both got in to the theaters at different times with no wait and said it wasn't very crowded.

It is rated pg-13.

My daughter is begging me to take her. Perhaps we will try tomorrow. I hate crowded movies, so I hope that isn't the case.

12 and 14 year old have a pretty good idea what is fake. Ten and under are still learning that. There were a couple scary (for little ones) scenes. Death eaters sucking the life out of Harry and his cousin is an example.

I went to the 12:30 show at Tinseltown. It was about 3/4 filled.

I read on another board that teenagers were really disappointed that a lot
of things in the book were not in the movie, which is true.

Still, I really like the movie a lot.

It was very dissapointing.

Did see that there's going to be a movie remake "Get Smart", the guy who played Evan Almighty/The Office is Maxwell Smart. It's funny how there are remakes of old shows I used to watch way back when......

Oh I remember that! Maybe from re-runs, but still ;). I hope that's one that they'll make on a kids level - mine would love it!

Get Smart came out in 1965, I remember watching it ask a kid, and then again the reruns. Steve Carrell is the Actor, I couldn't think of his name earlier. It comes out in 2008. Looks like it may be pretty good.

I'm a HUGE Steve Carrell/Michael Scott fan - you have no idea ;). Seriously - he can do no wrong in my book!

I was born in '71, so it was definitely reruns that I remember. I can remember the color scheme (was it originally B&W and then colorized or something? I can't believe there was a reunion movie in '89! I wish I could find this on TV now... my kids would seriously love it!

omg my family! We're all going nuts over this!! I can't thank you enough for that link! Steve Carell is *perfect* for that role. I don't know how we'll be able to wait a whole year!!!

My husband was excited to see that preview. One remake I liked was Bewitched. I loved that show as a kid and thought the remake was cute.

Next thing you know we will be seeing a Gilliagan's Island movie!!

There's another remake coming out with Will Smith called I Am Legend, it's a remake of the Omega Man, which was a remake of the Last Man on Earth.
