I'm curious... they had intentions of selling these dogs, no? How do they get them cleaned up enough to sell?

That is just so sad. I hope all of these find homes.

these are the "breeder" dogs. The ones who are forced to produce litter after litter. They don't sell them, just their pups

There was some discussion about Labradoodles after the article, claiming that they're not pretty dogs but they are big like a lab yet dander-free. What is wrong with a regular standard poodle? Or a Kerry Blue? Deliberately breeding mixes is just nuts.

I really don't get the "designer" or mixed thing. How do you know really what traits they will or won't have if they sell them as puppies? The prices for a lot of these dogs are outrageous.

oh and the prices these breeders ask for mutts are OUTRAGEOUS!
But its even sadder that people out there are willing to pay for this.
Heck, we only charged 160 for the Yorkie/Peke we adopted today, maybe we should have called him a Yokienese and charged 500.00.
Of course we'd never do that but my point is, there are "designer" dogs in shelters and rescues already that you can get very inexpensively and will be saving a life, WHY pay for these idiots to keep producing more?
