That’s a saying E-Rescue has. Today was one of those days that makes that statement ring very true.
We were contacted about a 7 year old Yokie/Peke Mix in Pasadena. At first we didn’t think we could take him but one of the dogs coming from another shelter was adopted directly leaving an opening. One of our volunteers went and got him and took him to Petco, where we were holding adoptions. He wasn’t there FIVE minutes before he was swooped up by an adopter! They said they knew their next dog would be a rescue dog and when they set eyes on him, THAT’S ALL IT TOOK!
Amazing to think this dog was at a shelter and going to be PTS beause no one had been interested in him.
