Market Street attracts eight new retailers

Market Street in The Woodlands will add eight new retailers to its tenant mix in the next several months, beginning with the November opening of the men's and women's outdoor clothing retailer, Eddie Bauer.
The other new tenants include Bath & Body Works, GapKids, babyGap, J. Jill, Right Start, Lululemon Athletica and Sweet & Sassy, a children's salon.
The J. Jill store in Market Street will be its fifth in the Houston area and carry an artistically inspired line of apparel, shoes and accessories for women.
The Right Start is the largest national specialty retailer of products for infants and young children.
Lululemon Athletica, a yoga-inspired athletic apparel company, will open its second Houston-area store at Market Street.
GapKids and babyGap are scheduled to open spring of 2008.

Small-business leader to speak
The Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber will host speaker Dale Kincaid at its upcoming membership luncheon on Tuesday.
Kincaid is a volunteer with the U.S. Small Business Administration's Service Corps of Retired Executives, which gives free and confidential small-business advice for entrepreneurs.
The luncheon will be held Tuesday from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at 1400 Woodloch Forest Drive, Suite 300. Tickets are $7.

Senator to speak at Woodlands chamber
Texas Sen. Tommy Williams, R-The Woodlands, will speak at the South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce's upcoming meeting sponsored by Consolidated Communications.
Williams will review the 80th Texas Legislature where he serves on the Senate Finance Committee, Legislative Audit Committee and other key positions.

Dr. Mila McManus of The Woodlands Institute for Health and Wellness recently relocated her practice to offices within the professional building at 9191 Pinecroft, Suite 175 near Research Forest.

Study finds bank ranks high in customer satisfaction
Woodforest National Bank has ranked highest in customer satisfaction in the southwest region, according to the recent results of the J.D. Power and Associates 2007 study on retail banking satisfaction.
The study analyzes customer satisfaction in six areas of the retail banking experience, including transactions, account statements and convenience.
For the southwest region, Woodforest National Bank scored highest in all of the study's factors that drive overall satisfaction in its region, out-ranking some large national banks.
Woodforest National Bank is headquartered in The Woodlands and has grown to $2.3 billion in assets and more than 340,000 customers at 320 branches.

Woodlands physician joins menopause clinic
Dr. Sakina Davis recently announced her association with the Menopause Clinics of America, an organization supporting hormone balancing research and natural bioidentical hormone replacement therapies.
In conjunction with the Menopause Clinics of America, Davis opened a new, specialized area of her practice that will be known as the Menopause Clinic. The focus will be on helping women find natural, safe and affordable relief from menopause symptoms.
The clinic is inside the Woodlands Wellness and Cosmetic Center at Market Street. Davis is a board-certified family physician treating men, women and children. Her focus is on preventative medicine.

Local Memorial Hermann ranks with top hospitals
Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital recently placed in the top 38 of more than 4,800 hospitals for treating heart failure.
The hospital was one of four facilities in the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System to rank better than the national rate.
The ranking is part of a consumer Web site developed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
A revised comparison tool on the Hospital Compare consumer Web site, www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov, gives consumers better insight into the quality of care provided by their local hospitals.
The updates provide consumers with an enhanced "snapshot" that captures information on the quality of care they received from providers.
