I was sound asleep this morning while my youngest daughter was watching my granddaughter. My daughter burst in the room screaming that the baby had thrown up on her. I hate waking up so suddenly like that. You think there is an emergency and the adrenaline is going. Arrrghh.

My brown leather couch is ruined. She soaked it. Any suggestions for cleaning it?

I hope the day gets better from here, but chances are the orthodontist won't be fun.

If it is leather how about some Ivory Liquid and lots of water?

What ortho did you decide on? My DS has an appt with Eishelman today at 2:45. Hopefully we will be getting the expanders out today and then start on the braces.

We decided on Dr. Rogers. I love him so far! He took so much time with us explaining everything and on top of that, we grew up a few streets from each other and attended the same high school. (Although he is more my parents' age.) Also, when I was checking out, my friend/neighbor walked up. I didn't realize she worked there. I know how much she loves her job. He is at least a very good boss, which says a lot about a person. And, they are close to our house.

Oh, and his father was a Baptist preacher, so I got to hear tons of Baptist jokes. (rolling eyes, lol)

I feel good, so far, about the choice. We will get the spacers next week, then the following week her braces will be put on. I am taking her twin brother in next week to start the process. Can you say big $$'s? :(

You still using Shaklee? I bet that cleaner they sell would do well on that leather sofa. You might ask your distributor.

GREAT idea! I still have some left. It is the all natural cleaner so possibly it wouldn't stain. Actually there isn't much of a stain left. We wiped up the mess, then wiped the couch down with a wet towel. Since the couch is dark brown, it doesn't stain "quite" so much.

Ugh. This is how my vacation started. We were gone for 8 nights. On 4 of them I was awakened at 3 a.m. by sick children. I now officially hate 3 a.m.

I have also decided that 10/11 year old children look big enough to function on their own when it comes to personal hygeine but apparently still need to be monitored closely. I am shocked by the number of times I have had to ask "Did you shower today?" and "When was the last time you used your tooth brush?" this week. I took them screwing up their faces and scratching their heads as they searched their memory banks for an answer as a bad sign. *sigh*

My sisters (whose children we borrowed for the week) did not find this tid bit at all shocking. Go ahead, experienced moms, laugh if you must.
