You have to come take it apart and haul it away... I'll provide the beer.

Maybe I'll get around to taking some pictures tomorrow.... but did I mention FREE? It's got 2 swings, something for hanging upside-down, monkey bars across, a slide & fort. It's got a green canopy (WCA friendly :)), green slide, green swings, etc. It's official Rainbow and has the plaque to prove it.

It's about 6 years old, needs to be re-stained, has obvious wear & tear.

EXCELLENT!!!! :D I'd grab you and hug you now if I could! A Rainbow play system is one of those items that have always been on my "one day we will be able to get" dream-list! In fact I was just talking about them to my SO on one of our walks last weekend. Told him that it had to be Rainbow when we finally got one! My little ones will enjoy it for years to come and I think it will be fun to reconstruct it and stain it! Thanks sooo much for being generous! We don't have a truck but I *will* get something arranged; we are not letting this opportunity go. How soon are you looking to get rid of it? Is this weekend good for you all? LMK...

This weekend is crazy, but I'm sure we can work *something* out. Maybe Sunday morning? Early - like 8am?

I'm walking for the AIDS Walk this Sunday morning. My SO will be watching the little ones and unable to come dismantle it then. It doesn't have to be this weekend; I just didn't know if you were in a hurry to get it out of your way. Other than that Sunday we can pretty much do any other weekend/time that is convenient for you all.

How's it, MMM? They got it taken apart a lot quicker than I thought, but I think my dh gave them some tips on how they got it into the backyard in the first place (we had it moved from our old house). How's the reassembly going? I hope your boys love it :D.

well apparently we have to replace some of the wood that kinda dicentigrated while they took it apart before they can assemble it. After we buy a few replacement timbers, we are going to pressure-wash it and stain the rest so this will be a project to tackle in the next few weeks. My 4 yr. old was super excited watching them carry the slide and other pieces into the backyard. He cannot wait for us to get it set up!
Thanks! :) And much appreciation to your DH for helping my guys out!!!

Oh no :(. My dh didn't tell me about that. Hopefully it's not much! Maybe your boys will stay on him about it and he can get it all done asap :). Hey and I saw your S-DS today! He's quite handsome :)

Ahhh, it's all good. Hey, the whole thing was given to us free, so even with a little work it still means we get to have one of those things for a TINY fraction of the price. Plus, I see a fun family project coming out of it; I especially look forward to the staining 'cause I like to paint :) . We like doing things like that around here. I'm sure your DH probably didn't even know because my SO said that the minor problems did not become apparent until AFTER they took things apart, anyway. No biggie. I wasn't surprised or anything. Weather/elements, ya know? Still FREE. :buttrock: With a little restoration on our part it will be good to go and I even envision some grandkids playing on it one day but possibly even having to do a little more maintenance then.
Oh and I just told Junior you said he was handsome and he got all blushy about it! He *is* a cutie....but because of hearing it all the time he gets annoyed with it. Must be nice, right? :rolleyes1:

LOL! No kidding!

I'm glad you're excited about the swingset :). It served us well at the old house and here, until we put the pool in. The boys weren't allowed in the backyard without Dh or I after the pool went in and they just didn't play on it at all after that. We really need the room for a deck now, which is pretty low on the "to-do" list anyway... so many projects, so little money :p.
