I want to go somewhere and have my teeth whitened. I just don't use the home stuff faithfully to make a difference.
Has anyone had this done? Who do you recommend?

I had my teeth whitened with the Zoom light at my dentist, Dr. Lockard. He is almost on the corner of The Parkway and 6 pines. I think he has a promotional 100.00 coupon as well. One thing though is that your teeth will be super sensitive after the proceedure so use that sensodyne toothpaste.:D

Do you remember the cost, after the $100 coupon? This is something DH and I are interested in as well.

Thanks Trace. Do you have any idea where I could find one of those coupons?

I think the coupon came in the mail but you can call the office and ask.
:DDr. Lockhart's number is (281)367-5256.

I had mine done a few days before Christmas at Dr. Gayken's office (Zoom). It was $525. I just used the maintenance kit a few days ago. My upper lip was VERY sensitive for about 3 weeks. It actually still doesn't feel "normal"...but my pearly whites are WHITE!

i've been wanting to do this too but am affraid of the sensitivity. When I use the at home stuff, my mouth becomes like a dessert. Same goes for whitening toothpaste

Then I wouldn't recommend it for you, RC. My teeth were quite sensitive, but it was my top lip that was more weirded out.

Holy crap! $525. I wasn't expecting it to be that much. I was thinking more like $300. Maybe I will actually use my Crest Strips...LOL

Is Zoom the only technique out there? If there are others, perhaps they aren't as sensitive.

I was thinking of doing that, but not at that price! Guess I will have to be happy with what I have.

I would imagine there are methods other than Zoom. I think that is the "latest and greatest". It was steep, but I had wanted it done for a while, so I splurged on myself!

I think it is great if it is affordable!! I have no prob with whitening, botox or whatever you feel you need. I just cannot afford it myself. I just wanted to make it clear, if you can afford it and it makes you feel good; go for it!!!!:D

I have wanted it for awhile as well. That IS steep, but I may just splurge one day and get it. If I can find it closer to $300 or so, I will do it much sooner. I would just feel really guilty spending that much on something like that when I could put it into our house renovation or something else for the family.

Sounds great, but it's too pricey for me right now! I guess I will try some strips as long as I can make myself actually use them regularly like you're supposed to!

That is my problem too. I've heard they work though.

I have a friend who is the marketing person for a dentist office. I'm going to see what kind of deal she could give me...if anyone is interested, let me know and I will see what I can do. I don't know if they use Zoom but I will get all the details.

RC Is is for the zoom? If so I may be interested. I have the trays though so I wouldn't be interested if it's for those.
