I need some of this for a recipe - dh has been 2 days at the Fiesta by his office and they just don't have it. Can I get it up here somewhere? Is there some kind of Mexican food market around?

ETA that I've tried my Kroger and the Indian Springs HEB.

What are you cooking, Wilson?

Yes, it does help... thanks! I knew the ingredients, but not how much of each. Rats - my magazine says it's chiles & lime juice, but not butter. I'll keep looking - the right combo has to be out there somewhere. I'm just irked! One of the fine points of living in Texas is easy access to everything Mexican!

Shrimp & Angel Hair Pasta. The shrimp is supposed to marinated in the Mojo de Ajo and the pasta is tossed with it. The recipes are part of a party-planning article. If the 2 go well in the dish together, I'll post the results :).

When I read this, I was thinking Mojito. But, I think Mojito is a drink, right? What is this Mojo de Ajo? Spice?

It's more like a marinade... it's an olive oil base, with spices.

There's a recipe for this version of Mojo de Ajo at the beginning of the article . I'm headed to the market now so I can make this (finally) tonight. I'll post the recipe if it turns out any good!

Yummy. I basted shrimp in an olive oil, parsley, garlic, salt & pepper mixture tonight. That, with some squash thrown on the grill with seasonings. Following by a few Kamikazees. Isn't it great to be Friday? :)
