I watched it last night.

I had forgotten how adorable the kids were in that first movie.
Chris Columbus really got the feel for the book in this one.

I thoroughly enjoyed it! :)

I'll have to get that out - I bought it years ago when it first came out and just watched it once. I'm in the middle of Order of the Phoenix and it'd be nice to remember how things started without diving back into the book. I've not let my kids watch the movie, either, and now I think it's just as well. I'd like them to read the books before seeing the movie, but as much as I think they could handle the first couple of books right now, they are just much too young for 5-7. It's all good, anyway, they aren't interested in starting the books now.

I was just looking at pictures of them in the first movie as well. And was thinking the same thing.

When they first came out, my twins were a little too young to read them. So, I read it to them. My oldest was into it and I would just read it to the twins. Now, my youngest daughter has read each book 10+ times. She will read it over and over and over. She has won several trivia contests. It is amazing the details she knows about Harry Potter.

Her thing now is begging me to go look for the books that are missing the three chapters. Riiiiight, we will get right on that, lol.

I have a friend in Dallas who's mom got 2 copies of the misprinted books. She's going to sell one and keep the other. There are several on Ebay!
