My Mom is looking to have this surgery soon. Anyone had it done? Have any feedback?

She was told that Dr. Mark Wilkerson was suggested for this area.

Thanks for any advice!

Nowadays cataract surgery really IS a "piece of cake". I had one eye done in 2006 and the other eye in early 2007. You go in for the surgery. NO pain is involved. Surgery takes 45 minutes or so. Within say 4 hours, your are back home (that included my travel from TW to DT Med Center and back to TW). You go back next day. They remove the bandage. You can see! You go home and put drops in your eyes a few times a day for a couple of weeks and then it's over. You wear a patch at night during some of that time to make sure you don't scratch it in your sleep/or rub the eye. You wear a patch when you go out on a windy day. You wear dark sunglasses whenever you go outside for several weeks.

I highly recommend this surgery. I'm not sure but I believe Dr Wilkerson was somehow connected to my doc down in med center and she recommended him for any eye problems in future since I did not want to continue travelling down there.
