I like that you can rant about your worst restaurant experience and the name of the restaurant won't be censored and replaced with ***** lol. (ala WOL)

Location: Close enought to be told I live in The Woodlands

I like your location quote. We live on the east side of the freeway. When people ask where I live, I try to explain. Then, I end up having to say, "Right next to The Woodlands." When we lived in Timber Lakes it was worse. We were in The Woodlands, but not IN The Woodlands. :D

I don't remember WOL doing that. I used to post on there, but I guess I didn't notice their censoring. I wasn't nearly as active posting on there as I have been on other sites. They could have a busy forum if they made it EASIER to post. You have to register (no big deal), but then you have to be approved to post (which seems to be a long process). On top of that, I think now you can't even VIEW the posts without being registered and logged in. They make it very hard, in my opinion, to post and because of that their forums are dead.

If Mommaof2 and lillie are happy here I should be also. I have been reading this site for a few days, it does NOT resemble the WUG site, I like it.

We are on the East side as well.

The other day we had a kitchen table delivered and the driver passed up our house and missed our scheduled delivery time (what? a 5 hour window isn't long enough??). His actual excuse was that our address is Conroe, and we didn't live in Conroe. WTH?!?! I told him (and the dispatcher & the manager) that he better start reading his map book, my address is Conroe, therefore I live in Conroe! But this guy wasn't that smart anyway... two days later, finally on his way to my house, he called and said he couldn't find my house number. Told him he had to actually turn INTO my neighborhood and ONTO my street. uuggh

But anyway, we will soon (hopefully within the next 2 years) be living IN TW and paying the higher taxes & fees to do so. That's how much we love it. And we love that our kids can grow up in this community.

I don't think you can wrong in South Montgomery County. I like Spring Trails and Legends Ranch/Run, but I don't want to live off of Rayford. The traffic is too much like Sawdust and going to get worse. Plus, it's quite a trek to the high school.

We considered moving into The Woodlands and if we did, we would live in Sterling Ridge area because I think it would be the most convenient for our needs. There are many neighborhoods I love in The Woodlands, so you can't really go wrong there either.

I have learned to use our back exits here in Legends Ranch....as far as the flooding goes. Long we dont have the issue that happened back in 94. I think we will be ok. During Allison we didnt get much back here. But your right about Rayford being worst than Sawdust. It used to take me 3 minutes to get to 45. What is funny is I work near Hobby airport and leave at 6:20 am and takes me 40 minutes to get to work on a bad day. My wife leaves at 7:30 takes her 40-50 minutes and she works near Walmart on sawdust. Also I have been known to beat her home at times and leave at the same time. I take the back roads though old town spring. But it can take up 15 minutes just to pull into the complex.

I love where we are at in Imperial Oaks. The only thing that will make us move is the house is beginning to feel a little small since I've become a SAHM. We would probably buy in the same neighborhood.
DH works in the same area as MSU's wife and he's looking forward to school being out. Less traffic during his "commute".

Actually, I have been thinking lately, if we ever moved, it would be to Imperial Oaks. I love having Kaufman right in the neighborhood and most of the boys in our Cub Scout Pack are from there. Soon, you will have the Intermediate nearby as well.

Plus, our pack meets at the Faith Church on Rayford. Now that y'all have a Kroger's coming in, a grocery store will be nearby! I just HATE Rayford. I go the back way from Robinson most times.

Not that we are moving anytime soon. We are actually looking to put a pool in, so I doubt we will move in the next ten years. Then, it won't matter about schools!
