Can anyone recommend a dermatologist besides Dr. Hughes? I don't care for how we have to wait to see him. I have a new weird mark on my skin that is scaring me and I'd like for somebody to look at it. Do I go straight to a dermatologist or would a regular doctor know if it's good or bad?

You can have it examined by a Dermatologist FREE on Saturday May 10th @ 9:00 AM @ Houston Northwest Medical Center on FM1960W. Just show up and register...should be there by 8:30 AM.
Free Skin Clinic I have visited many times...they tell you if it is serious.

Good luck. Most dermatologist are hard to get into. We need more of them in the area. You can try Dr. Farmer with Sadler Clinic. I've heard many great things about her. Your family dr should be able to put you ease somewhat on the mark you have. Can always try that while you're waiting.

I'll look her up and call her tomorrow. Thanks - I was hoping for a female doctor :)

There is a group in Sterling Ridge, I'll have to look up the name but I think there is like a 6 month or so wait to get in.:(

Got it! Woodlands Dermatology. Holly Clark was recommended to me but I don't know if she is seeing new patients. Looks like the whole practice is female.

Thanks - they directed me 2 other doctors and their first available is in August. It's ridiculous.

Oh! They called me back already - I have an appointment on May 20, so that's very cool. It's with the last doctor I would have picked, though - the only male lol :p.
