Well I took my youngest ds to get a haircut today and I must say, I will not be going back!! I said just shape it up and she butchered him! I am now going to have to take him somewhere else to fix it and I like his hair longer; now it will have to be short. We had been before without problems.

I've been looking for a good haircut in Montgomery County for 30 years! Let us know what you find.

None of my business; but most women like long hair on men/boys; most men/boys like short hair. :D :D

LOL! Both my boys have long hair and are super-fussy about cutting it too short! My oldest had hair past the bottom of his shoulder blades last summer, but fussed about brushing it and such, it was just a PITA, so I took him to get it cut. After we were through at the hair cutters, he burst into tears because he thought his "short" (to his shoulders) hair made him look like a girl :p.

I don't know how old your DS is, but my Little Bit's granny likes to take her to Snipitz in the mall to fix Little Bit's hair whenever I chop at it. They do a pretty good job.

My youngest is three. He hated getting his hair cut, so it just got long. It makes him look younger to me than short hair. Guess I am trying to keep him my baby forever!! He is my little hippie baby. My oldest has longer hair to. I think that is the style these days, but Cg is right; my husband hates it!!

Village Cuts in Panther Creek does a great job with handling the kids and cutting their hair.

I have only seen a few boys that I think long hair looks good on. Wilson's are two of them. That is because it still has a style to it and it is kept up. My older son let his hair grow out and it looked pretty good (like a surfer), but he decided to get it cut. That cut was almost a buzz. I really liked the longer hair better that a buzz, but my preference is a traditional clean cut above the ears and certainly not touching the collar.

I do NOT like long hair on men. Now that my oldest son will be in JROTC, he will have to keep it short, which is fine by me.

We have a scout in our troop who wears his hair long and unkempt. Half of the time he doesn't wear his (scout) shirt tucked in and it drives me NUTS.

My mother is a beauty stylist here (after doing hair for 25 years in our hometown!). She is wonderful with kids, and although it is a beauty salon, I have never seen a child not love her. Of course I am partial, but I do recommend her to everyone! Actually about 4 of the women I work with have converted to her in the last 2 months, and one of them now takes her boys there too!

She works at DeWaines at 2978 & 1488. Her name is Marci. If you PM me, I can give you her number, which sometimes is easier to get ahold of her than through the salon.
