Wow, I can't believe she is giving this up. I think for HER sanity, it is a wise move. This had to consume her every waking moment and that couldn't have been healthy for her or her family.

This statement seems to be SO true these days.
"Casey died for a country which cares more about who will be the next American Idol than how many people will be killed in the next few months while Democrats and Republicans play politics with human lives."

I can't believe no one has an opinion about this. Surely some of you are GLAD to see her stop protesting and some of you think she should never give up.

Family, I think it's been discussed elsewhere (somewhat).;)

Personally I was sick of her the first time I saw/heard of her. Everyone empathizes with a parent who has lost a child in war or by any other way...a loss like that is awful and unbearable.
But she was so overboard and fanatical she turned people off. AND her protests did not help the active military at all. Those are the people we need to be thinking about.

That's exactly how I feel. I think there was a better way she could have spent her time to make a difference in the world. In the end, I don't think she made any changes that she was hoping to make.

I felt (feel?) sorry for her. She was in a state of grief and used & misled by just about everyone.
