Well, maybe not *ever*, but it's been close! My Cub Scout Den just got *extensive* tours of both the Old Courthouse in Conroe and the new Conroe Police Station. It was phenomenal! Sergeant Ward gave us a fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime tour of the old jail and Judge Hamilton took a break in the middle of Court proceedings to introduce us and show us the in's & out's of her Courtroom (both were wonderfully arranged by Patty Warner of Judge Sadler's office) and police officer Hovey gave us an *amazing* tour of the new police station - complete with the S.W.A.T. room and details of the police cars. The boys were on Cloud 9 the entire time. I was amazed by the history of the Courthouse and the technology involved in the new police station.
This was wrapping up our Law Enforcement work - such a fun project and there's no way I could have given the boys this experience on my own.
