There have been reports of some US soldiers becoming US Citizens, so does this already happen?
Would you support the idea of undocumented aliens doing public service in order to work toward documentation and achieve citizenship? I think this would give a lot of people a way of breaking free of the cycle of being illegal and maybe solve some of our problems of the low numbers in the armed forces or other public service sectors.

I think it 's a great idea and the US has done it in the past and it's worked out well.

You must have U. S. citizenship or proof of permanent residency to join any branch of the U. S. military. Immigration rules are set by the US Citizenship amd Immigration Services

The plan is just another amnesty plan, let's invite them over put them in the military and give them citizenship.

I support it as long as their record stays clean and they put in the required amount of time.

Thats a hard call. We need our military to be there for the right reasons.

We need our military to be there for the right reasons.

That's a very good point. I will have to rethink my opinion on that one.

I don't know, there's tons of old folks who paid their whole working lives into SS and now have to share it with illegals and pay more for food and medical care. Let's take care of the needs of the legals.
