About once or twice a year I seem to get a UTI, generally I can start massive amounts of fluid and cranberry and it will go away on its own. This time, after days of pain, I decided on a whim to try the redi clinic. I knew what I had, knew what I needed, didn't want to deal with making a dr appointment for much later or the next day if I'm lucky....then sitting in the waiting room for half an hour or more etc...
This place was awesome! I was in and out in 20 minutes and all I had to pay was a $15 co-pay! They took a urine sample, wrote me a prescription and I was out of there!
Highly recommend them for minor issues or physicals!

I've run in there for school physicals too. I always seem to get those done at the last minute.

I have been twice in the past 3 weeks, had a relapse.
I do love the fact that they are quick yet thorough.

Ooh, great idea. The twins need one before the end of the summer for their activities.

I wonder if you could get birth control pills there? I DON'T want to go to the darn Gyno!

Do they accept your insurance co-pay only? That sounds great.

I thought you guys were talking about the HEB on Sawdust! I was leaving the school early with one of my kids and saw a friend - I said that I thought he might have Strep and she said to take him to the Redi Clinic because they can test for it there. I said how I didn't want to drive all the way to Sawdust and she said how she goes to the one at Indian Springs. I had no idea there was a Redi Clinic in there!
The doc started the strep test before we even got checked in all the way and I loved, loved, loved the doctor. The strep test was negative, didn't push antibiotics for the fever, was cool & calm with my way whiny 6yo, treated the 9yo gently & with respect, talked to me about our options, etc. There wasn't a waiting room full of sick kids & the woman (PA? Receptionist? another Doctor?) that was checking us in rocked as well. $69 & no insurance (my fault - they do take insurance!).

Wilson, maybe you could file it yourself through ins and get reimbursed. I don't trust those strep tests half the time. Hope they feel better soon.:)

Thanks - the clerk person gave me the receipt and suggested that. We were supposed to get new cards & info this week (by the 1st), but you know... it's an insurance company that I'm dealing with :rolleyes1:.
The doctor wasn't sounding too sure about the test, either ;). He'll be fine, but I appreciate the thoughts :)

I went to Dr. D's Urgent Care this evening. (dropped a 5 lb dumbell on my left middle finger). I would definitely recommend it. I was there all of 20 min. tops, and that included x-rays! I was very pleased.

Well, my 4yo has been a real stinker the last couple of days and today after breakfast he threw up everywhere! Noticed he felt warm and I took him to the HEB clinic at IS. He has an ear infection and some viral thing! We were in and out within 35 minutes. Only paid 20 copay. Glad to know it is there and takes our insurance.
