Do you ever find that the more you try to treat a wrinkle, the worst is gets? Is this just my imagination, my bad luck, or my bad skin?

I think it's mostly genetics. Don't beat yourself up over it!

I don't think you can "treat a wrinkle". It's not like a zit but rather a permanent fixture on your face. You may be able to soften the look but I kind of doubt even that. Just go with it...I kind of like to think of it as "earning my stripes"...the older and wiser I get, LOL.

Botox?
I don't know, it's right under my left eye, I feel like scar face...well, when I was younger in my teen angst years, I thought about slashing my face once, then hiding it behind my hair, I think something along that line was going on, on General Hospital at the time, I think maybe the girl was in an accident though and didn't find herself lovable anymore?, I don't know...but I just wanted an outward symbol of my inner pain, I never did it though, but now as I can see this line getting deeper and deeper I think back to those days, stupid girl...what was I thinking? so i guess i can think of it as my battle scar...my little left eye scar that life has tatooed me with...actually, I think it's from sleeping on my left side of my face, I can't help it...it's an unconscious thing...i'd have to tie myself to the bed in order to stop it...oh well, i'm sure it'll get a whole lot better when the rest of my face gets a whole lot worse, then i can remember back when i only had that one little "scar"...actually, i told that to my sister, and she was like what? don't think that's the only wrinkle you have, i see some on the other eye too...and there and there...thanks alot sis....

You are a riot! Please consider donating your organs to medicine. A brain surgeon would have a field day analyzing yours, LOL.

 Is it a scar or a wrinkle? You lost me! If it's a scar there are products like Mederma that you can buy for it. Wrinkle? Well I spend a lot of time ooohing and aaaahing over the anti-aging potions at the store all the time. I see some stuff is basically just spackle (or filler) and imagine that's about as heavy-duty anti-wrinkle as you can get.
You know what I've noticed? The older I get the longer it takes for those 'pillow marks' you wake up with sometimes to fade away!

ok, at first that sounded like a really big insult, but then i read it again and it didn't sound so bad, so i'll take it as a compliment lol

(I guess i don't sleep on that side of my face long enough to make one there)..

is it on the right or the left side of your face? because i read somewhere long ago don't remember where, that the left side of your face reflects the way that you really feel and that the right side of your face reflects what you want other to see...in other words, the right side is voluntary actions, where as the left side is the deeper, involuntary true consciousness of feelings...

no, it's a wrinkle...like a fold that i'd like to take an iron to...i don't even think they could put botox that close to my eye without maybe poking me in the eye with it...it's actually right along the lash line and is covered by a shade of lashes but...like you said about the pillow lines, thats what i feel it is, it's like a huge pillow line that's just never going away ever again...i like to think of it as a scar..a battle scar of hard living...like i'm tough or something...yeah, maybe i worry too much about nothing...like i said, i know it's only the beginning of alot bigger things to come lol
but you know what? i was seeing this lady on the tv today and her face had so many wrinkles but they were like in the most perfect of places for her face they seemed to just define her expressions so well....i remember when i was a kid my mom used to say don't make a face or one day it's going to stay like that..i thought the woman was nuts, but now i know she knew alot more than me...
i always wanted to be older..and thought i wouldnt care about aging and looking old one day, but i lied to myself and i really do...that was me when i was too young to know better, or to know that it could and would eventually actually happen to me too..and unless i got alot of money something's are just not fixable...and even with alot of money i've seen some women with some really bad surgeries so..anyways..life goes on...how's your house? i read you were having water issues with your AC? hope that's solved now..

 Well the water pouring out of the cielings was fixed/stopped. That's *all* that's been done so far. My closet is growing black mold across the whole ceiling at an amazing pace. That part of our house has always been particularly humid. The front bathroom has no mold appearing but the cieling is still all kinds of messed up, holes poked in it, half-way hanging off. It's ugly.
One of these days the guys are supposed to come back and take care of that. :dunno:

Wrinkles are road maps of where you have been in life!:)
My wife calls my forehead a big chief tablet:(
The Big Chief tablet was a popular writing notebook for several generations of young children in the United States. It featured widely spaced lines, easier to write in for those learning to write. Its prominence, though, was the cover's representation of a native American in full headdress, hence "Big Chief."

That is a risk to your health! Something needs to be done ASAP. I'm pretty you can actually get out of your lease over this. Any type of mold can be bad for you, but especially certain types of black mold.

Really? Like how does it affect our health? I have heard that allergy sufferers are affected by mold but I don't have allergies and those that do in my house haven't had any symptoms. If we are staying out of the closet (closed until repaired) can it *still* hurt us? Oh man....
We do have this expensive mega air-filtration system in our room that we run when we are sleeping in our bedroom. I hope that would help if the mold can somehow still affect us from the closet ceiling. Doh.
Time to get a back-bone and stand up to the land-lord, I guess. I'm such a chicken...don't know why I'm always scared to confront people. If it were my SO I had to confront, I'd have no problem, whatsoever!
ETA: as far as getting out of the lease...well moving is just not an option. Too much of a PITA (and expensive) when we know we'd just have to again by about Jan or so. I *hate* moving!!!! It will especially suck since we've acquired a whole lot more junk over this past year after going from apartment living to a big 'ol house!

Serious life-threatening illnesses can occur. It is definitely time to confront landlord and perhaps insist that he pay expenses for you to move. You may need a lawyer.

I think Josefa will disagree with you. She can do all sorts of amazing things. Then again, even though she is quite good at some things, she cannot practice some of them here in the USA without a medical degree. We have over protected people from themselves, unless they are rich, then they can get it done. Really stupid some of these rules.
