Great. We have raw Roma tomatoes almost every single night in our salads! My 5 yr old likes me to slice 'em up for his snack sometimes....

On second thought; why isn't washing the tomatoes enough to prevent us from contracting Salmonella? How does it get inside the tomatoes, if that's the case? The article says 'uncooked' tomatoes, not 'unwashed' so I assume it'd be inside them. But it also said contaminated from animal feces. How strange....

Dang! I love tomatoes!! I guess I will just have to bake them. Actually better for you anyhow.

You can grill them too! Just drizzle with EVOO and add some salt. I think I will clean mine extra good though just to be safe.

I usually buy the tomatoes on the vine, they said those were ok.
