Anyone know of a non-toxic flea remedy for the yard? We have never had fleas before and now we do, but I would prefer to not use chemicals on the dogs or the yard.

I don't know if Seven dust is chemical free or not? I've heard that is really good way to kill fleas bc it smothers them.

I think Sevin dust is VERY toxic. I will check though, because now I am not sure. Thanks.

I've heard that Brewer's Yeast works, but on pets, not in the yard. And, it might be an Old Wives Tale. I've never tried it, and would check with a vet before letting any of the animals eat it.

I actually have to take my cat to the vet tomorrow (started peeing on everything, ewww). I will ask while I am there. Thanks. I'm off to by a pet carrier now.

FG, let me know what vet says about Bogey. Years ago when I had many dogs I used the Brewer's Yeast as many had had good luck with it. I had no luck with it at all. Only remedy I have used that works is chemicals

buy me some REAL dog dip........not the junk thats at wal mart......
put it in an old ice chest....
dip my dogs once a week during the season......
no fleas.....
It works.......I am happy, all my dogs (5) live way longer than they need to anyway.. ;)
Usually they always make it up into their teens...
I have 5 yes 5 groan........weiners.
