Aaaarrrgghh! I am itching like freaking crazy all across the top of my boobies and tummy! I am at that point in the sunburn I got a while back...no peeling but MAN, what an irritating itch! One that hurts to scratch, and of course I don't want to peel or further damage my skin but it's hard not to. Not to mention I look funny walking around our house constantly rubbing myself all over my front-side. :o I actually kept waking up all thru the night from the itch! I also have these red bumps...is that normal? I never had a sunburn in my life before now. They aren't blisters...they are ugly bumps. Just on my shoulders where the red-ness is most intense, not so much on the real itchy parts of my tummy and chest.
I have nothing in this house but about to call a friend and ask her to bring me something for it; any suggestions?

Been there, gone thru that. I use the Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing lotion with cooling menthol.
Once you put it on you get this cool sensation and it feels so good and the itching goes away. You might want to go the store and try it first before you buy it, it runs like 7 bucks a bottle.
Hope you feel better.:)

I just read that aloe vera without alcohol works well and that apple cider vinegar helps prevent blistering and peeling and relieves pain.

I don't know if the relief is worth the smell of vinegar, though :P

Ahhh....itching. My reading comprehension isn't so good first thing in the morning. Yes, hydrocortisone cream works great for itching.

Mary Kay makes an awesome after sun gel as well.

I have sensitive skin, so I am always itching. My picks: we keep aloe vera gel in the fridge. It's kinda sticky, but always soothes, hydorcortisone creme, benadryl for night-time, and Aveeno makes a soothing anti-itch lotion that works really well for me.
