Red curry paste....

Has anyone ever seen this around here? I need some for a recipe. I have curry powder and I found a golden curry sauce today but no red curry paste.

I can't find that on a map. Is Sitar a restaurant on the frontage road going south toward Sawdust?

Yes... it's in the same strip center as that Candie's(? adult place) and Kyoto Japanese. It's a VERY small market right next to Sitar - to the right, I think. I don't even think they have a sign on the building - It says something like Indo-Pak Grocery on the door. If I remember to go by there tomorrow, I'll make some notes for you :-). They have funny hours and are closed I think on Mondays... it's a place I only go to when I need something else in the area and have to head over there anyway. My State Farm agent (Bob Barrett) moved his office into that strip center and that's made it easier!

My daughter who is an Indian food freak thinks Randalls or Market Street HEB has it.

I will check HEB tomorrow and if they don't have it I'll check over there where Wilson suggested. I don't shop at HEB much so I didn't check there.

It's not in the same strip as the Candie's and State Farm - that center is separate! I'm sorry - we drove past there last night and I noticed that they are 2 different buildings. Candie's & State Farm are just to the North of the Sitar & Kyoto...

I found curry paste at HEB. There wasn't any that said "red". They were for different things - so I just chose one that said "hot" and the color was red.
