And the kids are with my parents in Galveston, so we went out. Dh took me to Tommy Bahamas (I'm so deprived, I'd never been) and we were told to wait 35-45 minutes for a table. We went to the bar and ordered drinks and an appetizer... dh had been on a plane all night and was starving - he order the plantain chips and the scallop sliders. OMG it was all to die for! We had 4 drinks while waiting for a table... when the 3rd set of people next to us got seated, we were done with our appetizer and feeling a little full, so we turned in our beeper thingy and told them we were going to Jasper's :p. They didn't care. Oh well... we walked around Market Street for a while and whenever dh was wanting another drink, we went to Jasper's. We had some yummy Mojitos and got our valet ticket validated. I don't know that we've ever spent so much money and not even gotten dinner out of the deal! Easily, dinner would have added another $100 to the tab. Sheesh! Eh, we had a good time anyway, but now we'll get a PPV and call it a night.
