My 2nd grader has 4 folders

Homework Folder
Tuesday Folder

Is it any wonder I put one of my Kindergartener's folders (yes, even he has more than one, but I'm too lazy to go see if it's 2 or 3) in the wrong backpack this morning? Sheesh.

What is special about the Tuesday folder and why were other days of the week excluded??!!

DD is in first grade and only has two folders - homework and graded papers.

It's a weekly folder and I don't know why they picked Tuesday. The spelling folder is for their Friday Spelling tests and I guess it came home today so I could sign off on it. Tuesday is the weekly folder and I think they put the school banners and whatever else in there. The daily folder is for conduct and I guess any other daily communication needs. And the homework folder also I guess has to go back and forth daily and the homework packet stays in there? Ugh. I really have no idea. This is ridiculous though. Last year they did just have 2 folders!

It sounds frustrating and a lot for a 2nd grader to keep up with - and his mommy too! DD came home yesterday with about 5 things that needed to be signed, a sign up for a field trip and 2 money requests + a book order..... It never ends does it?
