Ugh, we have three fundraisers (and more to come) going on in our house right now! I finally told my youngest that we are NOT going to sell for the school because a limo ride just isn't worth it!! We are also selling popcorn for scouts and I have more of an interest in that. I promised him to make a donation to the playground equipment for the school and a trip to the dollar store not to have to sell the cookie dough. :) We can only focus on one fundraiser per kid! LOL

York is selling the giftware "stuff". Similar to Sally Foster. My teen son is REALLY into and doing really well selling it in the neighborhood. They promised them a party with moonwalks. Anyone know if the football team has a fundraiser? I don't want to spend much on the PTA one if he is going to turn around and have a football one.

My teen daughter would also be selling it, but she doesn't care about the party and knows that the band fundraiser is required. I'm not sure what that will be, but I know it will coming out soon.

I've decided to buy all of my small Christmas gifts through these fundraisers, so part of my Christmas shopping is done. :) I just wish they were more spread out.

I hear your frustration. I have three at my house selling the cookie dough. I had the bright idea of combining their orders so they could all three take the limo ride, but since found out it "won't work that way." So, now I'm going to just try for the three of them each getting ten items so nobody is left out of the Pump It Up party. We may make a rule: If they all can't go, nobody can go. That way, they may be more encouraged to "share" their customers. LOL! (One way or another, I'm going to teach them to share!)

I think this will be the last fundraiser this year that we'll get involved in. I really don't mind the cookie dough too much, but I don't like the "promise of big prizes" that accompanies it.

I'm so glad our school can do this differently. Last year, they started the "Non-Event Fundraiser" and it was very well received. No sales, just donations. They're doing it again this year and I'm quite thankful - just dropped off our donation at the school.

My husband just told me someone at his work had a fundraiser and he bought a $27 Honeybaked Ham!

I told him he better take our kids' fundraiser forms up there and she can buy $27 worth of popcorn! LOL

That is my peeve also. They pump them up so much about it and it is hard to tell my son it isn't THAT great.
