A tropical storm is expected to hit the upper Texas coast and forecasters say parts of the region could receive 10 inches or more of rain by tomorrow.

The tropical depression became a storm named Humberto around 12:40 today. It was centered about 55 miles southwest of Galveston, according to the National Weather Service.

I haven't read the link. When is the rain expected?

It's been raining (more like a mist/sprinkling) all day. I think the rain from this system is expected to start tomorrow. It shouldn't be too bad of a storm, though...

About 5 to 10 inches of rain was expected along the middle and upper Texas coast and in southwestern Louisiana, with some areas getting as much as 15 inches, senior hurricane specialist Jack Beven said.

After hearing all that on the news all afternoon, I dashed out and secured all my pot plants, moved all patio cushions inside, secured hanging basket holder thingy and generally worked up a sweat getting prepared.

Today - beautiful weather - no storm - we dodged another one! Moved it all back this morning, LOL.
