Dog Poop

Is it possible to train a dog to go in one particular spot? I have heard that if relocating their poop to the place where you want them to go, that they will get the idea. Not so with my two knuckle heads... they carpet bomb the backyard with poop.

Any ideas, short of the use of electricity would be welcome.

Perhaps if you start using the corner of the yard you want used, they'll get the message :D

If you are willing to tie the dogs up while they're in the backyard this worked for me. Tie them so they can get near the 'bathroom' and place their food / water and shade away from the 'bathroom'. They will not go where they need to rest if they can help it (the old don't crap in your mess-kit thing) After a while you won't have to tie-em. This requires that they be outside for long periods and cooler months might work better if they're not normally kept outside during the day.
