He faces felony robbery charges.

He again thinks he is above the law. I know these charges will not give him the jail time he deserves, but hopefully, he will at least serve SOME time in jail. And not in some cush one for celebrities.

I was wondering when someone would bring this up, either here or on WUG. I was too lazy, but I've been shaking my head all day over this!

Honestly, that guy has a serious screw loose! Or worse!

After murdering two people, he certainly has more than a screw loose. Although he is obviously smart (and rich) enough to get away with it. Hopefully this time he will serve some time. He makes me ill.

Ditto all of this!

This is wrong and sick, but I think I read somewhere that celebrites can "buy" or "rent" their jail rooms. (Get in the "cushier" places). Well, maybe anybody can do it, but certainly not anybody can afford it. And, I'm not sure if it is "all inclusive" of all crimes committed. It's still jail, though.

Dang, I'd like to find that link again. My curiosity is up now.

On a side note, I saw a headline today saying the Goldmans' supported the sale of "If I Did It," the book that was cancelled. Can't really comment since I ddin't read the article. Did anyone else?

I read that about paying for the jail cells as well - it was when Paris was getting locked up. But, in a lot of cases, they do have to make some kind of restitution to the State for serving time. I'm sure a good percentage can't or doesn't pay, but it still makes sense to try and make them pay for it. After Paris was going to jail and it was Nicole Richie's turn, they were talking about how she had the option to pay for another facility, but chose to go to Lynwood where Paris had been. I think they chose Lynwood because of the overcrowding and chances of being released just hours into the sentence.

I didn't read that about the Goldman's, but I can speculate that if they were supportive of the book, it was only because it makes OJ look even more guilty. If that's even possible!

They are supportive of the book because Ron's father now owns the rights to it and therefore, the $$. OJ was ordered to pay the family and has never done so. They now have the rights to the book and are trying to get some of their money out of it. (At least that is what I have read.)

I would have NEVER bought the book if a penny was going to OJ. I wouldn't have bought the book anyway, but if the money can go to the family, I would at least consider it. Even if I never read it. I am a true crime novel fan, but not if the murderer is benefitting from it. (We really need a puking icon here...lol)

Thanks, FG. I did read the article this moirning. I agree, I'd come closer to buying it knowing the Goldman's have the rights. But, I don't think I could stomach reading it. I'm fairly well sick of OJ, already.

According to media hound Fred, they will get $.17 per book. They say it isn't for the money. Ok then WHY? More media coverage for yourself? Go back and read what Fred had to say about the book when Oj had rights to it, and read what he says now. A sad case all around.

The other person I am sick of hearing from is Mark The Liar Fermahn. What a LOSER. Oh and another thing that makes me ill is how all the media types Geraldo, Greta, and on and on and on and on, continue to blast OJ. They should be THANKING him, without his trial they would not have the life they have now. Geraldo was washed up, Greta was just any other lawyer, without a TV show.

Lon Chaney back from the dead... (:D wicked laughter...)

I recall in a past life having moved to LA in 1993 right after the Northridge Quake and the riots when OJ was arrested. We all wanted white Broncos with "RUN OJ" vanity plates. I moved away a year and a half later and he was still on trial. EVERYONE involved in that case was in it for their own gain... from Johnnie to Ito (What do you call a small taco? Taquito! What do you call a small judge? Judge Ito!!) to Marcia...

So by the time the jury got the trial they acquitted OJ in about 4 hours. The case was bungled from the start. On that note, OJ is a moron who is overdue for some jail time! He's out of money and out of luck... I say he gets 5 to 10!

I'm sure I couldn't stomach it either because he will basically be admitting it, but I'm sure justifying it somehow. Star makes me sick too defending him. She has several times how he is innocent, blah, blah, blah. I usually like her, but in this case, I think she is stupid.
